About the Author Elyse Pipitone, LCSW, is a writer, editor, and licensed certified social worker. She has worked with populations including low-income families at risk of homelessness and individuals facing opiate addiction. She has served as a volunteer career coach to members of the National Association of Social Workers’ Massachusetts chapter since 2011. Ms. Pipitone holds a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University and an MSW from the Simmons University School of Social Work. She is a licensed clinical social worker.
