The Trauma Reaction Card deck is a therapeutic tool to assist children and adolescents in understanding and identifying their reactions to traumatic or stressful life experiences. These colorful and illustrated cards are categorized into the four domains of trauma reactions: Behavior Reactions, Body Reactions, Brain and Critical Thinking Reactions, and Feelings Reactions.
The Trauma Reaction Cards enhance the process of uncovering and expressing each person's outlook on life and each person's unique strategies for dealing with traumatic experiences or other stressful life events.
The deck can be used in a variety of settings, including individual counseling, group therapy, and group discussion in the classroom.
An accompanying checklist (see below for the download) can be used to record the youth's trauma symptoms.
